What are the functions of the rim?

3. Ensure airtightness : In tubeless tires, a reliable seal must be formed between the rim and the bead to prevent air leakage.

4. Transmit driving force and braking force : The driving force of the engine and the braking force of the brake are transmitted to the tire through the rim and finally act on the ground.

5. Maintain vehicle stability : Appropriate rim width, diameter and offset can make the tires evenly stressed, ensure smooth vehicle driving, and reduce abnormal tire wear and deviation.

6. Easy to disassemble and maintain tires : Multi-piece rims (such as 3PC and 5PC structures) are widely used in construction machinery and mining trucks, greatly improving the efficiency and safety of disassembly and assembly of large-size tires.

7. Protect tires and extend their life : A rim with a reasonable structure can prevent the tire bead from being excessively squeezed or loosened, and reduce damage caused by improper assembly.
